Art Direction
Visual language for campaigns, shoots, and stories.
Art direction is the work that happens before a photographer picks up a camera. It is the decision about what story is being told, how it should feel, and what visual language will carry it. Get this wrong and the execution cannot save it. Get it right and even a modest budget produces something that looks considered.
The most common mistake in creative production is going into a shoot with references but no direction. References tell you what someone else did. Direction tells you what you are going to do and why.
Campaign and content direction
We direct campaigns for brands that need to move across digital, social, and print without losing coherence. We develop the visual concept, define the production parameters, and guide execution so the final work looks like it was planned rather than assembled.
Photography art direction
We come to shoots with a clear brief, a scene-by-scene shot list, and the ability to make decisions in the moment when something is not working. We are not passengers on set.
